SENIOR RESEARCHER AT THE INSTITUTE FOR WATER QUALITY, RESOURCE AND WASTE MANAGEMENT AT TU WIEN
David Laner is a Senior Researcher at the Institute for Water Quality, Resource and Waste Management at TU Wien. He holds a Master of Science in land and water engineering (2005) from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna and a Ph.D. in civil engineering (2011) from the Vienna University of Technology. In his PhD thesis he investigated long-term environmental risks from landfills as a basis for decision support on aftercare strategies. In general, his research focuses on the analysis and design of waste and resource systems. During the recent years among his main research interests were the treatment of uncertainties in macro-scale MFA and the effect of different mathematical treatments on the quantification of resource and recycling flows.
